Miraculously Saved
“On the 7th of July, 1999, I was hit by a car while trying to cross a busy road on my way home from work. The car had run a red light and had hit me before I reached the island in the middle of the road. I was knocked unconscious and rushed to hospital. I was unsure of what had happened to me.
I remember waking up and hoping that my brain was still functioning normally. I sang a song that we sing at church called ‘Holy Spirit let your presence fall’ and I know the Lord’s presence surround me as I lay in the ambulance.
I was checked out at the hospital for broken bones, spinal, head and internal injuries. The only injuries I sustained were a cut to my head which required 5 stitches, abrasions and an injury to my leg where I was hit by the car. Though my body was aching, this subsided. I was kept overnight for observation.
The next morning nursing staff expected me to have a headache, however I did not. I know that as soon as my family heard about the accident they started to pray as well as other members of the Church, and I know that God answered their prayers for me. I am thankful for everybody’s prayers and for the Lord’s hand of deliverance.”
