Who Are We?

WE ARE A CHURCH WITH A CARING AND LOVING HEART

ELIM of the Old Testament was a place of wells and palm trees - It offered the weary traveller a place of refreshing and sustenance and we continue to maintain this tradition.

Our aim in society is to be a Friendly Neighbourhood Church with a Caring Heart that reaches out to all walks of life.

If you are in need of help or comfort in any way please do not hesitate to go to our Contact page or call us on our office number.

Our Values

These are our core values that we at Elim hold close to our hearts:
  • Passion for God – Alongside others, we endeavour to whole heartedly follow Jesus in love, word and action.
  • Bring hope –We want to bring hope to our world, through the giving of our time, talents and money.
  • Community – We want to build strong families and strong communities, a place for every ethnicity and generation to call home together. Together, we are all one with Christ.
  • Prayer – We pray to bring about miracles and transformation through the power of God.
  • God’s Word – We believe that the Bible is the foundation upon which we build our lives.

What to Expect

When you arrive at Elim, it is our desire that you feel the love and warmth of the Elim family and that you relax and enjoy the presence of God. We welcome people from all different backgrounds, ages and cultures knowing that God accepts us all as we are.

When you arrive:
  • You will be greeted at the door by one of our friendly deacons who will usher you to your seat.
  • The service will then be opened in prayer and committed to the Lord for His will and desire to be performed and accomplished.
  • We then sing choruses. The Bible says “A merry heart doeth good like medicine” and this time of singing helps everyone to relax.
  • We then have a time of testimony whereby various people in the congregation will stand and talk about the wonderful things the Lord has done for them through the week.
  • We then have a time of praise and worship, whereby we give God all the glory that is due.
  • The pastor or elder will then give a short address which will help and encourage you in your walk with the Lord and teach you how to put into practice what the Bible says, so your life is blessed and refreshed.
  • You will then be taken around the “Table of the Lord” to share the sacraments that speaks of his broken body and shed blood on the Cross of Calvary.
  • Those who are sick and ill will be invited to the altar where the pastor or elders will pray for them.
  • Announcements will then be made.
  • Close the service in prayer.
  • WHILE we do not conduct a children’s church during our services there is provision for mothers to attend to their children.
All are welcome
